HGTV-Featured Sophie's Café is Opening in Avon Park
This will be the third location of Sophie's Café, originally from Sebring.
AVON PARK, FL — Sophie’s on Main Street, a new Cuban restaurant from owners Yuni and Javier Del Cueto, is planned for 4 E Main St, Avon Park, FL 33825, with an opening date to be announced as final kitchen permitting is completed, Yuni Del Cueto told Business Debut.
The Main Street café will be the couple’s third location, following two Sophie’s Café restaurants in nearby Sebring.
What to Expect
Sophie’s on Main Street will be the smallest of the three restaurants, with seating for about 20 to 25 guests. The space is designed as a casual neighborhood café, carrying over the same menu and format as the existing Sebring locations.
The team plans to serve beer and wine at the new location once approvals are in place.
Menu and Vision
Sophie’s is a Cuban restaurant, and the Avon Park menu will match the offerings at the Sebring cafés. Expect dishes from Cuban breakfast sandwiches, chicken and waffles, B.L.T's, Cuban sandwiches and much more.
The first Sophie’s Café opened about seven years ago at 120 Sebring Square.
A second location later followed on Ridgewood Drive in downtown Sebring, using the same menu and operating model.

Opening Timeline
Most of the Main Street buildout is complete. The team is currently waiting on permit approval for the kitchen exhaust hood system. An exact opening date is to be announced and will depend on the remaining permitting and construction steps.
Hours
Sophie’s on Main Street is expected to follow the hours of the Ridgewood Drive location in Sebring:
- Monday through Saturday: 7:30 a.m. — 8 p.m.
- Sunday: 8 a.m. — 4 p.m.
