WILDWOOD, FL – The Yardery plans to open a new location at 101 S Main St Unit 2, Wildwood, FL 34785 in the historic downtown district in summer 2026, partner Eric Kushnick told Business Debut.

The Wildwood restaurant will be the brand's third location, following Sanford and Mount Dora, with a fourth in development in New Smyrna, Kushnick said. He shared that the project is part of the first phase of a broader redevelopment of Main Street that includes new construction and a multi-story parking garage.

Kushnick is partnered with Chef Driss Tahiri to open The Yardery in Wildwood.

What to Expect

The Yardery initially debuted in Sanford, FL in 2022. The concept pairs backyard-style food with craft cocktails, local beers and an open-air social setting. The experience centers on lawn games, live music, family-friendly dining and dog-friendly spaces. The overall feel is a neighborhood backyard gathering spot where guests can eat, drink and play.

Kushnick said the Wildwood site is under active construction with sheetrock going up. The building sits across from City Hall.

Kushnick and Tahiri bring a combined three decades of hospitality experience from a fine dining background, Kushnick told Business Debut. He said the team will launch Wildwood with The Yardery's existing food and beverage program as they settle into the concept.

Once operations stabilize, Kushnick said they plan to experiment with new and different menu items at the Wildwood restaurant. "Wildwood will be used as a testing ground to beta test some fun new things," Kushnick told Business Debut. He said concepts under consideration include elevated specials and tableside preparations that could eventually roll out to other locations if they resonate with guests.

Opening Timeline

Kushnick said the team is targeting a grand opening in summer 2026. He shared that the group is aiming for late July or early August, with an exact date to be announced as construction progresses.
