NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Twisted Garden, a healthy fast-casual café from owner Dee Conigliaro, is targeting a January 19 opening at 6633 Forest Ave, New Port Richey, FL 34653, inside Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. Conigliaro told Business Debut the café will bring fresh, health-focused options to hospital staff and visitors while continuing to operate its popular food truck throughout the region.

What to Expect

Twisted Garden is built around a clean-eating concept, offering protein shakes, full-fruit smoothies, green tea–based energy drinks, fresh salads, grain bowls, and wraps.

Guests will order at the counter and can choose to dine at one of the nearby tables or take their meals to go. Additional ordering kiosks are planned on different hospital floors to make access easier for staff.

Conigliaro said her personal favorite menu items include the Dragon Wrap, made with grass-fed sirloin, romaine, cabbage, wonton strips, and a sweet-and-spicy Asian dragon sauce, pressed until crisp. Another highlight is the Twisted Chicken Salad, a hearty mix of chicken, chickpeas, kale, quinoa, celery, onions, and slivered almonds that she describes as a full meal on its own.

Sourcing locally is a priority, she said, noting partnerships with New Port Richey-area vendors whenever possible. “It’s very important as a small business to support each other,” Conigliaro told Business Debut.

Ownership and Background

Conigliaro brings more than 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry. After decades in corporate roles, she said she decided to step away in 2024 and invest everything into building her own concept. Twisted Garden is her first independent brick-and-mortar business, developed alongside her husband, Anthony Conigliaro.

She launched the brand initially as a food truck, which she continues to operate. The truck services Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Hernando counties, with a strong focus on hospitals, office centers, and youth sporting events, including fast-pitch softball tournaments.

Hours

The café is planned to operate Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food truck hours and locations vary by schedule and event.

Community Focus

Conigliaro said becoming part of the New Port Richey community has been one of the most meaningful parts of the journey. She described herself as already deeply integrated and connected locally, with many supporters having followed Twisted Garden from its earliest days as a food truck.

“These people have watched this concept be born and have watched it grow into what it is right now,” she told Business Debut. Conigliaro said that level of support has made the opening especially meaningful, adding that she and her husband cannot wait to officially open their doors and serve the community they already feel a part of.
