A growing father, son and chef founded hot chicken brand is expanding in Tampa. Mike Sarago, his son Anthony Sarago and Chef Frederic Gilmore founded HCK Hot Chicken 3 years ago. Now, they have partnered with franchisees to expand their business. Hunter and Rolston Boon are bringing the new restaurant to the area.

Last year, the first greater Tampa location opened in Sarasota via Jon O'Driscoll. Now, the brand will continue to develop in the St. Pete and Tampa-proper area. The Boon brothers reported securing Hillsborough and Pinellas counties for future developments. They have the option to open as many as 15 restaurants.

The first unit in their grand plan will come to: 3343 S West Shore Blvd, Tampa, FL 33629. Boon reported that they are aiming to open on December 9.

As far as future plans, Boon is a resident of St. Pete and is exciting about the area's growth. It's possible that they will alternate open one location Tampa, then St. Pete, back to Tampa and so forth.

Hunter Boon has been in the food and wine business for over 20 years. He shared that after the first bite of an HCK Hot Chicken sandwich, he knew that they'd gotten it right. The chicken is brined for 24 hours, breaded, and cooked to order. Their simple menu allow them to focus on making their few menu items with excellence.

Follow the brand on social media to keep up with future developments.
