Hawaiian Cuisine Coming Soon to Fort Walton Beach
Pineapple Express Hawaiian Grill will serve customizable bowls and more starting in late February.
FORT WALTON BEACH, FL — Pineapple Express Hawaiian Grill is preparing to open a new brick-and-mortar restaurant at 302 Racetrack Road NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547, targeting a late February debut, owner Gerardo Zentle told Business Debut.
The restaurant is owned and operated by Zentle alongside partner Anthony Cisneros with the loving support of both of their wives. The concept builds on a Hawaiian-inspired menu the team previously operated as a food truck and is now expanding into a full restaurant format.
What to Expect
Pineapple Express Hawaiian Grill is designed as a fast-casual concept where guests can order at the counter, with the option to customize bowls and plates. The dining room will seat about 65 guests, and the restaurant will also offer a drive-thru.
The menu is centered around Hawaiian-style comfort food, with an emphasis on quick service and customizable options. “We wanted something that fits the beach area and offers something different,” Zentle told Business Debut.
Menu and Vision
The core of the menu includes Hawaiian rice bowls built on a rice base with choices of steak, chicken or kalua pork, plus house-made sauces and toppings. Guests can choose a single protein or mix multiple meats in one bowl.
Additional offerings will include Hawaiian-style plates with sides such as macaroni salad, burgers and sandwiches like chicken katsu and kalua pork, and Hawaiian-inspired tacos. The restaurant also plans to serve pineapple Dole Whip, a frozen dessert popularized at Disney parks.
“Our signature bowls are what we’re most excited about,” Zentle told Business Debut. “We make our own sauces, and people can build them how they want.”
Opening Timeline
The team is planning a soft opening around February 25. An exact opening date will be announced as final preparations are completed.
Hours
Pineapple Express Hawaiian Grill plans to be open seven days a week. Target hours are around 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with later hours possible on Fridays and Saturdays. Final hours are to be announced.
