Haven Coffee Roasters Opening Flagship Café and Bakery in Auburndale

Plans are underway for a major expansion of Haven Coffee Roasters, owner Jon Lane confirmed with Business Debut. The Winter Haven-based brand will be opening a flagship location in Auburndale that will be over five times the size of their current space in Winter Haven. Lane is developing the new location and running the business with his wife, Lynsey Lane.

The upcoming café will be located at the corner of Main Street and West Polk Avenue, catty-cornered from Beef ‘O’ Brady’s. While Google Maps currently shows an incorrect address, the correct pin can be found here.

Lane noted that this will serve as the brand’s flagship hub, with a focus on ramping up wholesale operations while offering a full café and bakery. The new facility will feature a 35-kilo roaster—an upgrade from their current 10-kilo roaster in Winter Haven—and will include an in-house bakery producing pastries and baked goods such as croissants and bagels and more.

Tentative hours will be 7 am to 5 pm, with adjustments possible based on customer demand.

Haven Coffee Roasters was founded in March 2021, shortly after Lane was laid off from a job supplying green coffee to roasters in the United States. Having traveled across the country and to South America to source and sell coffee, he realized a need for gourmet coffee in Central Florida.

After discussing and praying about the venture with Lynsey, they found investors and opened Haven Coffee Roasters in a 900 square foot space in Winter Haven, which they have officially outgrown. Lane cited a deep knowledge and network of industry professionals as being a key to the success of Haven Coffee Roasters. 

Their Winter Haven outpost will remain open. Lane reported that the only thing changing is that they will have better pastries once the bakery opens.
