WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Haraz Coffee House, a brand rooted in Yemeni coffee culture, is preparing to open its newest location at 1722 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544. Franchisee Abed Mahmoud told Business Debut the team is targeting an opening during the week of Thanksgiving.

What to Expect

The Wesley Chapel café will feature a 2,000-square-foot space with seating for about 64 guests. Guests can expect a full coffeehouse experience with traditional and signature drinks, including Americanos, cappuccinos, and lattes alongside Haraz’s signature Yemeni beverages such as the Harazi Latte and Adeni Chai, which incorporate spices like cardamom and cinnamon.

The shop will also serve refreshers, matcha drinks, and blended beverages such as caramel frappes and macchiatos. Food offerings will include both familiar coffee shop staples like croissants, cheesecakes, and muffins and traditional Middle Eastern items such as cheese, meat, and spinach pies. A standout item, Mahmoud said, will be bee bites, a Yemeni pastry made of dough stuffed with cheese, arranged like a beehive, and topped with honey.

“Yemen is the origin of coffee, and we’re bringing that authenticity to our community,” Mahmoud told Business Debut. “What attracted me to Haraz is how it blends cultural authenticity with a modern, elegant atmosphere. Every detail, from the drinks to the design, has been engineered for quality and consistency.”

He said the café aims to create a family-friendly environment that encourages guests to linger, with a design-driven space and late-night hours that welcome the community beyond traditional coffee shop norms.

Ownership and Background

Mahmoud and his business partner, Nais Ahmad, both have extensive restaurant experience, operating several fast-casual and quick-service concepts specializing in chicken wings, gyros, burgers, and deli-style foods. While this will be their first coffeehouse, Mahmoud said the transition was a natural one for him.

“I’ve always loved coffee and the feeling of walking into a coffeehouse,” he said. “After visiting a Haraz Coffee House in North Carolina, I fell in love with the brand and knew I wanted to bring it to Florida.”

The team plans to expand the Haraz Coffee House brand further throughout the Tampa Bay area once the Wesley Chapel location is established.

Hiring

Mahmoud confirmed that Haraz Coffee House is currently hiring for multiple positions, including baristas, cashiers, and support staff. Interested applicants can email resumes to haraz.tampabay@gmail.com.
