The Halyard Restaurant Group is preparing to launch a new concept in a new market, owner and chef Dave Snyder shared with Business Debut. AGIO will be the group’s newest restaurant and its furthest venture from home, opening at the DoubleTree hotel at 124 Glynco Pkwy, Brunswick, GA 31525.

Snyder shared that they hope to begin serving hotel guests the week of May 5th, with plans to open to the public shortly after—on either May 12th or May 19th. The restaurant will feature a 126-seat dining room, a 20-seat bar, two banquet halls, and outdoor seating and standing room shared with the hotel’s courtyard.

The menu will focus on Italian cuisine, with a selection of pastas and hand-selected, flame-grilled steaks. You can view AGIO's dinner menu here:

AGIO comes after 25 years of operations for Halyard Restaurant Group, which began in 2000 with Halyards on St. Simons Island and grew to include Tramici, La Plancha, and Halyards Catering.

All of their existing businesses are located within one mile of each other on the island, and Snyder noted that this move into Brunswick represents a step into new territory. Snyder said he was drawn to the Brunswick location due to a lack of similar dining options in the area.
