YOUNGSVILLE, NC — Grub Smokehouse, led by husband-and-wife team David and Kristina Garrison, is now open at 14101 Capital Blvd, Youngsville, NC 27596. The Garrisons are celebrating the restaurant’s grand opening all month with a 15% discount for new customers.

What to Expect

The fast-casual restaurant offers smoked meats, sandwiches, and salads in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. Everything is made from scratch, including sauces, bacon, and desserts. The space features both indoor seating and an outdoor patio that welcomes kids and dogs. Guests can dine in or take their meals to go, and the team encourages customers to “bring a blanket and make a little grub picnic,” Kristina Garrison told Business Debut.

Grub Smokehouse builds on the Garrisons’ original concept from their former restaurant in Merced, California. David Garrison, a chef who has cooked for U.S. presidents, Anthony Bourdain, and the Dalai Lama, brings a deep focus on live-fire cooking to the North Carolina location.

“Everything we do is on the smoker,” Kristina Garrison told Business Debut. Signature items include smoked pastrami, beef cheeks, smoked turkey sandwiches, and the returning favorite from their California days — the sweet potato cinnamon roll.

The couple aims to create a welcoming space rooted in community. “We love building communities and bringing people together. Everything is made from scratch with lots of love. There are no shortcuts,” Garrison said.

Hours

Open Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The team plans to introduce brunch items such as biscuits and gravy on Saturdays and hopes to add beer, wine, and special events in the coming months.
