MIAMI, FL — Tata’s Yogurt Bar, a new Greek frozen yogurt concept focused on clean ingredients, is targeting an early February opening at 2992 McFarlane Rd, Miami, FL 33133, according to founder Rafaella Pastor Ferrari, who told Business Debut the team is working through final preparations and permits.

The counter-service shop marks Pastor Ferrari’s first restaurant and is designed as a grab-and-go concept with seating for guests who want to stay awhile. She is joined by store manager Isabella Atala, who has been involved throughout the pre-opening process.

Business Debut learned of this story first from The Burn Miami.

What to Expect

Tata’s Yogurt Bar centers on homemade Greek frozen yogurt made without added sugar, instead sweetened with honey. The space has been designed with a calm, welcoming atmosphere, offering booth seating and tables indoors, with potential outdoor seating pending city approval.

“Our product is grab and go, but we put a lot of effort into creating a very good atmosphere where people can sit, work, grab a coffee, and stay for a while,” Pastor Ferrari told Business Debut.

The menu is anchored by Greek frozen yogurt, made in-house using what Pastor Ferrari describes as clean, natural ingredients. The signature offering features a tart yogurt base topped with Greek olive oil, honey, and Maldon sea salt flakes.

“Our star product is the Greek frozen yogurt,” she said. “My favorite is the tart base with Greek olive oil, honey, and Maldon sea salt flakes.”

Additional offerings will include yogurt bowls with fresh fruit and granola, overnight oats, chia pudding, smoothies, coffee, matcha, and baked goods such as cookies and pastries. The shop will also serve fresh coconuts with coconut water, an option Pastor Ferrari expects to be especially popular during Miami’s warmer months.

Ownership and Inspiration

The name Tata’s Yogurt Bar is a personal tribute. “The name is an ode to my grandfather,” Pastor Ferrari told Business Debut. “That’s what I used to call him, and he’s a big part of the inspiration behind this project.”

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting an opening during the first week of February, though an exact date has not been announced.

Hours

Initial plans call for the shop to be open Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays. Hours are expected to be roughly 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., though they are subject to change.
