Golf Simulator and Bar Concept Opening in Gainesville
X-Golf is bringing indoor golf simulators, a full bar, and a sports-bar-style menu to Gainesville.
GAINESVILLE, FL — X-Golf, an indoor golf simulator venue with a full bar and kitchen, is targeting an opening during the first week of March at 4781 Celebration Pointe Ave, Ste 30, Gainesville, FL 32608, owner Timothy Dean told Business Debut.
The Celebration Pointe location will bring six simulator bays to the market, including five in the main space and one private bay designed for groups or events.
What to Expect
Dean said X-Golf is built for both serious golfers and casual players who want a faster, more social experience. “You can play a full round in about an hour, hour and a half,” he told Business Debut, noting that the simulators eliminate long waits and weather concerns.
Each bay uses ball-tracking technology paired with an auto-tee system that returns the ball and tees it up automatically after each shot. “You’re not bending over, chasing balls, or resetting between swings,” Dean said. “It keeps the pace moving.”

Menu and Vision
Food and beverage are central to the concept, with a fast-casual, sports-bar-style menu and full bar service available throughout the space. Dean said the menu will focus on sharable items like wings, chicken tenders and pretzel bites, along with charcuterie boards and desserts such as cookies and ice cream.
The team also plans to offer limited breakfast items for earlier hours. Guests will be able to order directly from their simulator bay, with staff providing table service. “We want people to sit, play, eat, drink, and not feel rushed,” Dean said.
Ownership and Team
The Gainesville X-Golf franchise is owned by Timothy Dean and his wife, Ruth Dean. Dean said the project has been a family effort from the start.
He credited his son Brian Dean and Brian’s wife, Nicole Dean, with helping extensively on research and planning, along with his son Michael Dean. Dean also said his sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Knabb and Mary Griffis, contributed to early research for the business.

The team is targeting an opening during the first week of March, with a grand opening planned shortly after.
