CHARLOTTE, NC — Ginny’s, a new neighborhood Irish bar, is preparing to open very soon at 214 W Tremont Ave, Charlotte, NC 28203, co-owner John Ellison told Business Debut. The team has completed remodeling and is waiting on its ABC license.

What to Expect

Ellison described Ginny’s as a straightforward neighborhood Irish bar focused on drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. The 2,500-square-foot space is designed as a small, intimate spot for locals.

Entertainment will center on weekends, with DJs or small bands scheduled on Friday and Saturday nights. The emphasis is on a casual place to meet up, have a drink, and unwind with friends.

Ginny’s will not operate a kitchen. Instead, Ellison said the team is looking to have a food truck on site most days.

Behind the bar, guests can expect typical Irish beers along with a wide selection of bourbon and whiskey. “It’s just a neighborhood Irish bar,” Ellison told Business Debut, adding that it is “someplace to have drinks with your friends.”

Ellison told Business Debut they are aiming to open very soon, potentially as early as next weekend. An exact opening date is still to be announced.
