COBB COUNTY
D’Juan’s New Orleans Bistro
Just two years after opening on Cobb Parkway, D’Juan’s New Orleans Bistro has outgrown its original space and is preparing for a major expansion, entrepreneur and owner Donald Williams shared with Business Debut.
The new space will nearly quadruple its seating capacity, growing from 40 to 150 seats in a new location at 4600 W Village Pl, Smyrna, GA 30080. Williams told Business Debut he’s excited to join the new community and already feels welcomed by the neighboring businesses in the plaza.
The upcoming restaurant will span 3,400 square feet. While the menu will largely remain the same, they plan to add more New Orleans-style appetizers. Expect fried alligator, boudin balls, and more. Williams also teased on Instagram that the new location will carry a more upscale vibe.
D’Juan’s New Orleans Bistro is expected to complete its move by the end of the year. Williams shared that the transition will be seamless: “If we’re opening [in the new location] on Monday, we’ll close down that Sunday,” he said.
In addition to the bistro’s relocation, Williams is launching Blake’s Oyster Bar further south at 510 Fairburn Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30331, with plans to open this spring.
Williams is also the owner of Williams Accounting and Consulting, which has been running for 20 years.

Luna Y Sol Cantina
Luna Y Sol Cantina is preparing to open soon in Austell, Georgia, according to owners and husband-and-wife team Jesus Lagunas Villanueva and Liz Murillo Sandoval. The couple has spent years working in the restaurant industry for family members, but ultimately decided it was time to build something of their own.
In April 2024, they launched Luna Y Sol as a pop-up and catering business. Liz shared with Business Debut that their first pop-up was found through Facebook. After paying the vendor fee, they assembled what she described as their “most rustic-looking setup yet” and broke even. From there, the brand began to take shape.
The couple originally sought to open a brick-and-mortar location in Douglasville that ultimately fell through. Still, the process led them to their current space: the former La Salsa restaurant at 2856 Veterans Memorial Hwy SW, Austell, GA 30168, where they are now preparing for a mid-to-late May opening.
Luna Y Sol Cantina will be a full-service restaurant and bar, offering distinct lunch and dinner menus Tuesday through Sunday. The space will seat 106 guests across four main zones: a patio, a main dining room, a bar, and a cocktail area. A smaller section of the dining room, set aside for private parties and events, will also host seasonal tastings and events.
Drawing on their experiences working in Tex-Mex establishments, Liz and Jesus noticed a recurring customer request for authentic dishes. That desire inspired them to focus on true, homestyle Mexican cuisine at Luna Y Sol Cantina. Many of the recipes come from Jesus’ mother, who will serve as the restaurant’s head chef and who remains a key influence on the entire concept.
One goal is to showcase often-overlooked aspects of Mexican cooking, including its wealth of vegetarian options. On the bar side, Jesus, a trained bartender, is designing a mixology program featuring house-made syrups, infusions, and adventurous cocktails with a focus on mezcal and tequila. Classic favorites will also be available.
Jesus and Liz shared that launching a brand from scratch has brought new and difficult challenges. Shifting from floor service to administrative work, managing paperwork, and navigating the hurdles of opening a business were major learning curves.
Liz noted the emotionally taxing side of entrepreneurship as well, describing moments of doubt and feeling as though they were not up for the challenge. Despite the uncertainty, Luna Y Sol Cantina is set to open later this month.
Hours will be 11 am – 9 pm on weekdays and 11 am – 10 pm on weekends, with the potential for weekend brunches. Catering and event bookings will also be available.

GLYNN COUNTY
AGIO
The Halyard Restaurant Group is preparing to launch a new concept in a new market, owner and chef Dave Snyder shared with Business Debut. AGIO will be the group’s newest restaurant and its furthest venture from home, opening at the DoubleTree hotel at 124 Glynco Pkwy, Brunswick, GA 31525.
Snyder shared that they hope to begin serving hotel guests the week of May 5, with plans to open to the public shortly after—on either May 12 or May 19. The restaurant will feature a 126-seat dining room, a 20-seat bar, two banquet halls, and outdoor seating and standing room shared with the hotel’s courtyard.
The menu will focus on Italian cuisine, with a selection of pastas and hand-selected, flame-grilled steaks. You can preview the full two-page menu here, which includes items like Agio Oysters Rockefeller, Spicy Stuffed Mushrooms, 3 Meat Lasagna Rollatini, Italian Shrimp & Grits, and a 14oz New York Strip.
AGIO comes after 26 years of operations for Halyard Restaurant Group, which began in 2000 with Halyards on St. Simons Island and grew to include Tramici, La Plancha, and Halyards Catering. All of their existing businesses are located within one mile of each other on the island, and Snyder noted that this move into Brunswick represents a step into new territory.
Snyder said the team was drawn to the Brunswick location due to the lack of similar dining options in the area. For more information about the restaurant, visit agioitalian.com.
