Fun and Focus Playhouse Blending a Play Cafe and Co-Working in Cumming
Fun and Focus will provide an indoor playground for the kids and a co-working space and cafe for the parents.
CUMMING, GA — Fun and Focus Playhouse, a new indoor playground and co-working space for parents, is planning a January opening at 1050 Buford Hwy Suite 101, Cumming, GA 30041, co-owner Kate Waters told Business Debut. Waters is launching the concept with partner Ashlyn Hiteshew.
What to Expect
Fun and Focus Playhouse will combine a supervised indoor play space for children with a dedicated co-working area for parents. The roughly 4,000-square-foot space is split between a 2,000-square-foot co-working lounge and a 2,000-square-foot play area.
The concept is designed for children ages 2 to 6 with a separate area for non-walkers. Supervision is included, with staff overseeing the children while they play, but parents are required to remain on site. Large interior windows keep kids within view of their parents throughout their visit.
Walk-in visits will be $18 per child and include a two-hour play window. Membership options will offer extended time and more frequent visits.
Co-Working Space
The co-working lounge will feature a 20-foot communal work table with outlets, along with a mix of lounge seating and smaller “work houses” that mirror the playhouse theme. “We were like we need to open a place in Cumming with supervised childcare and a place for parents to get some work done,” Waters told Business Debut.
Coffee service will be included for parents, with an espresso machine offering a range of coffee drinks. Outside food will be welcome, so families can bring snacks or packed lunches to enjoy on site.
Fun and Focus Playhouse will also be available for birthday party rentals, allowing parents to reserve the space for private celebrations.
Standard memberships are expected to include up to eight visits per month with a 2 1/2-hour play window, while a platinum membership will offer unlimited visits with a four-hour play window.

Opening Timeline
Waters said the team is targeting a January opening, with the exact date to be announced.
Hours
Operating hours are still being finalized. Waters said the current plan is for most days to run roughly 9 a.m. — 6 p.m., with at least one day operating on a shorter 10 a.m. — 4 p.m. schedule. Final hours will be announced closer to opening.
