MIRAMAR, FL — Brandon’s Bistro is preparing to open a new location at 11755 City Hall Promenade, Miramar, FL 33025 bringing its full-service soul food restaurant to a larger space in Miramar later this spring. Owner Brandon Knight told Business Debut the team is targeting a late March or early April opening, depending on construction, training, and final operational details.

The restaurant has been operating in Pembroke Pines for about two years and will relocate fully to Miramar. Knight said the move was driven by customer feedback and a desire to better serve the community that has supported the restaurant since day one.

“We really listen to our guests,” Knight told Business Debut. “They wanted a bigger space, a bigger bar, and more room to experience what we’re trying to do. We don’t exist without our customers, so we almost partnered with them in creating this next chapter.”

What to Expect

Brandon’s Bistro is a full-service soul food restaurant built around family, conversation, and hospitality. The concept was created by Knight alongside his brothers and childhood friends, with food as the starting point for connection.

“We do a lot of our meetings and our best conversations over food,” Knight told Business Debut. “So we wanted to build something centered around serving, community, and bringing people together.”

The Miramar restaurant is expected to seat at least 150 to 160 guests once completed, offering significantly more space than the current location.

The menu focuses on scratch-made soul food prepared fresh, with an emphasis on quality ingredients and dishes that feel familiar and comforting.

“We wanted to move away from processed and frozen foods,” Knight told Business Debut. “Everything is made fresh. You can literally taste the difference. It makes you feel like you’re at home.”

Customer favorites include catfish and grits, shrimp and grits, blackened salmon and grits, chicken and waffles, and oxtail and ackee. Brunch is a major part of the menu, featuring buttermilk pancakes and French toast.

The restaurant also serves the Chef Harvey Burger, named for executive chef Gerald Harvey, along with sides like mac and cheese and spinach dip. For dessert, Mama Knight’s red velvet cake continues to be one of the most requested items.

Ownership and Team

Brandon’s Bistro is operated by a hands-on management team that includes Brandon Knight, Efren Knight, Keenan Clark, Gabe Holmes, and executive chef Gerald Harvey. Knight said everyone plays an active role in the business. Beyond the food, hospitality is the restaurant’s top priority.

“The biggest compliment we can get is when someone leaves and says we treated them like family,” Knight told Business Debut. “We want people to feel love when they walk in. If they don’t feel that, then we’ve failed.”
