ORLANDO, FL — Flavors of Jamaica is preparing to open its third location at 2610 S Ferncreek Ave, Orlando, FL 32806, marking the brand’s first full-service restaurant with sit-down dining. Owner Phillippa Myers told Business Debut the team is targeting an early April opening, pending final inspections and approvals.

What to Expect

The Orlando location will introduce a full-service experience with wait staff, unlike the brand’s existing takeout-focused locations in Ocoee and Kissimmee. The space will accommodate approximately 78 indoor seats, with additional outdoor seating planned.

Guests can expect authentic Jamaican cuisine, including oxtails, curry chicken, curry goat, stewed chicken, steamed fish, curry shrimp, and curry lobster. The restaurant will also serve wings, fries, mac and cheese, rice and beans, and traditional Jamaican beverages and ice cream flavors.

Myers said the concept centers on authentic flavors and traditional preparation. “Flavors of Jamaica is the Jamaican restaurant. It’s authentic Jamaican cuisine,” she told Business Debut.

Menu highlights include jerk chicken cooked on the grill for a traditional taste, along with fan favorites like oxtails, which remain the top-selling item. The restaurant will also offer Jamaican breakfast options such as ackee and sausage, callaloo, liver, and green bananas, along with daily soups and porridge.

Myers, who previously co-founded another Jamaican restaurant concept, said her continued expansion reflects both experience and passion for the industry. “I enjoy serving the community because you get to meet different people. For me doing this is like second nature,” she told Business Debut.

She added that her sons, Stephen Myers and Marcus Myers, have supported her throughout the journey, with Marcus playing an active role in assisting with the business.
