Fast-Casual Mediterranean Restaurant Coming to High Point

HIGH POINT, NC — Hummus Republic plans to open in April at 1589 Skeet Club Rd, Suite 131, High Point, NC 27265, co-franchisee Ghanshyam Pathak told Business Debut. The fast-casual Mediterranean concept is planned for a 1,600-square-foot space near the Harris Teeter-anchored shopping center.

What to Expect

Pathak said the franchise agreement was signed around January 2025, and the team spent much of the past year searching for a location in the Triad.

After selecting the site in October, the project moved into construction with a general contractor working toward a spring opening. Pathak said the group viewed the area as a fit for a fast-casual Mediterranean option, with limited similar concepts nearby.

Menu and Vision

Hummus Republic markets itself as “fresh meets fast,” built around fully customizable Mediterranean bowls, wraps and pitas.

Guests typically start by choosing a format (bowl, wrap or pita) and then build out the meal with grains and greens, hummus and spreads, proteins, toppings and dressings.

Menu options commonly include proteins such as chicken shawarma, lemon chicken, falafel, and beef and lamb gyro, along with a range of sauces and add-ons. On the sides, offerings across the brand include items like pita chips paired with house-made hummus, za’atar-seasoned sweet potato fries, and falafel.

Opening Timeline

Pathak said the goal is to open during spring, with April as the target timeframe.
