Family-Owned Thai Restaurant Coming to Orlando
Sabai Thai Street Food will feature family recipes including Tom Yum noodle soup and Thai sausage.
ORLANDO, FL - Sabai Thai Street Food is targeting a March 16 opening at 3333 South Orange Avenue, Suite 105, Orlando, FL 32806, pending final inspections. Owner Billy Spradlin told Business Debut the restaurant will be a family-owned and operated concept built around recipes from his wife’s family in Thailand.
What to Expect
Sabai, which means “relax” in Thai, sets the tone for the restaurant’s casual, full-service atmosphere. The 32-seat dining room is designed to offer a laid-back street food experience in a small, welcoming setting.
The restaurant will operate as a full-service concept. While alcohol will not be available at opening, the team plans to add beer and wine in the future.
Menu and Vision
The kitchen will be led by Spradlin’s wife, Viradee Pisara, and their son, Alex Pisara, who both serve as chefs. Spradlin manages operations, while family friend Peter Kong will assist with service.
“All the recipes are family recipes that have been passed down from my wife’s family,” Spradlin told Business Debut. Viradee began cooking at 12 years old, learning from her older sister, a street food vendor in Thailand. She later owned a restaurant in Thailand and worked as a chef in Los Angeles before the family relocated to Orlando.
Among the featured dishes is a Tom Yum noodle soup made with egg noodles and house-prepared chicken, beef and pork stock. “It is something that you can’t get anywhere in Orlando,” Spradlin told Business Debut. The menu will also include handmade Thai sausage prepared from a multi-generational family recipe.
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting March 16, pending final inspections.

Sabai Thai Street Food will be open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. The restaurant will be closed Sundays.
