Familiar Sandwich Concept Opening in Charlotte
Mad Dash Kitchen plans an April opening in Charlotte marking the sandwich concept’s first standalone brick-and-mortar restaurant.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Mad Dash Kitchen, the sandwich concept founded by Chef Corey Jones, is preparing to open its first standalone restaurant at 214 N Tryon St Plaza Suite 1, Charlotte, NC 28202. Jones told Business Debut the team is targeting an April opening if construction continues on schedule.
Mad Dash Kitchen first launched in 2020 as a ghost kitchen during the pandemic before expanding into The Market at 7th Street food hall in 2022. The upcoming Uptown location marks the brand’s transition into its first full brick-and-mortar restaurant.
What to Expect
The restaurant will operate as a fast casual counter-service concept with a menu centered on sandwiches and quick lunch options. Guests will order at the counter and can take food to nearby outdoor seating in the plaza adjacent to the space.
Mad Dash Kitchen will feature hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, wraps, soups, salads, and sides including fresh-cut fries, house chips, and coleslaw. The brand’s Dasher Chicken Sandwich, which Jones said previously earned recognition locally, will remain a centerpiece of the menu.

Weekly and daily specials will rotate and may include items previously served during the brand’s food hall run, including tacos and other chef-driven offerings.
Menu and Vision
Jones said the new location represents the next phase of the brand’s growth after several years refining the concept.
The restaurant will also introduce a fast casual breakfast option designed for Uptown commuters and office workers.
“You’ve got to have a big vision,” he told Business Debut. “We’re looking forward to continuing to expand Mad Dash’s footprint in the Charlotte region and potentially growing into a restaurant group with other concepts.”
