European Chocolate Café Coming Soon to New Smyrna Beach
AJ Chocolate House will open in New Smyrna Beach, offering European chocolates, coffee, wine, and seasonal treats.
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL – AJ Chocolate House, known for its European chocolates and elegant café experience, is opening a second U.S. location at 105 Canal St, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168. The expansion comes after the success of their flagship American store in Winter Park, FL, which celebrated its second anniversary on August 3.
The brand is led by Katherine Urbyte and co-founder Edwin Jablonskas. The couple told Business Debut that the team is finalizing light renovations to transform the space into a fun, comfortable café complete with their signature tea towers, beer, wine, and, of course, a full chocolate experience. “Hopefully, within a month or two, we will be open,” she said.
Menu Highlights
AJ Chocolate House menu will include hot chocolate, European-style coffee, and curated beer and wine selections. The offering will also include seasonal specials, unique gift designs, and collaborations with local and regional businesses.

A European Chocolate Legacy
AJ Chocolate House began in Europe, where it now operates 25 locations, before making its U.S. debut in Winter Park in 2022. The brand name came from Edwin Jablonskas’s father, known as AJ, who founded AJ Chocolate House with Edwin in Europe in 2002.
The New Smyrna Beach café will have the same rich atmosphere as the Winter Park location while displaying unique artwork and decor.
Franchising Opportunities
In addition to the new store, AJ Chocolate House is preparing to franchise in the U.S. beginning January 1. “If somebody wants to start talking to us, we are more than willing to start those conversations and help people set up their own Aj Chocolate House,” Jablonskas said.
