El Ranchito Expanding to Lake Wales with Full-Service Dining
Guests will enjoy authentic Mexican dishes and rotating specials.

El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant is bringing authentic Mexican dishes to Lake Wales, co-owner Nancy Campos shared with Business Debut. The business has a separately owned counterpart in Bartow, which is run by her grandmother.
Originally founded in 1997 by Campos’ father, El Ranchito is now being expanded by the next generation. Nancy is joined by her sister Maria and brother Yovanny in opening the Lake Wales location.
The restaurant is planning to open at 740 State Rd 60, Lake Wales, FL 33853, in the former location of City Star Family Restaurant. It will offer full-service dining with seating for 115 guests.
While the full menu hasn’t been announced, Campos said guests can expect authentic Mexican dishes and rotating specials. Beer and wine will be available at launch, with plans to add a full liquor bar soon after.
The team is aiming to open in late July or early August, pending final preparations.
Once open, El Ranchito will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Campos noted that she and her siblings have been immersed in the restaurant business since childhood and have long dreamed of running their own establishment. Now, they are continuing the legacy their father began 28 years ago.
