Durham Pizzeria Expanding to Raleigh in 2026
Pizzeria Toro is planning a fall 2026 debut in Raleigh, mirroring its Durham restaurant with rotating menus.
RALEIGH, NC - Pizzeria Toro, the Durham pizzeria known for its wood-fired pies and seasonal small plates, is targeting a fall 2026 opening at 807 Halifax St, Raleigh, NC 27604, chef and owner Gray Brooks told Business Debut.
Brooks said the team is in the final stages of selecting a general contractor, with plans going in for review and hopes to begin work in the space by the end of the month.
What to Expect
Brooks said the Raleigh dining room is currently drawn at a seat count in the mid-70s, though that number could shift once the team is in the space.
“It’s gonna very much mirror the other restaurant,” Brooks told Business Debut, adding that the two locations will not have identical menus. Items will rotate between the two restaurants while a set of staples will remain consistent.
Based on the current Toro menu, guests can expect wood-fired red and white pizzas alongside salads and small plates, including items such as orange county baby lettuces, Tuscan kale, ricotta dumplings, and classic Toro pizzas like buffalo mozzarella with San Marzano tomato and basil, plus an “old school pepperoni” option.
