Duck Donuts Opening in Spring Hill Soon
A husband and wife franchise team are opening the newest Duck Donuts.
SPRING HILL, FL – Duck Donuts is preparing to open its first Spring Hill location at 13105 Cortez Blvd, Spring Hill, FL 34613, bringing its signature made-to-order donuts to Hernando County. Owners Michael Putnam and his wife, Christina Putnam, are the franchisees for this location.
Putnam told Business Debut that they are currently finalizing county permits and expect their certificate of occupancy by next week. “We’re planning to start staff training on September 8, with a friends and family event on September 11, a soft opening on the 12th, and our grand opening on September 13,” he said.
A Made-to-Order Donut Experience
The Spring Hill location will have 1,080 square feet of area with nine chairs, tables, and barstools for guests. Duck Donuts' open kitchen allows guests to witness their donuts being prepared fresh and topped to order.
“The concept of Duck Donuts is that it's made to order,” Putnam explained. “You order, you watch the donuts get dropped and cooked, and then you customize how they’re topped.”
Alongside donuts, the shop will serve coffee, espresso, frozen blended drinks, cold brew, drip coffee, ice cream, milkshakes, and ice cream sandwiches.
From Dream to Reality
Putnam and his wife, who have been married for 30 years, will be managing their first Duck Donuts outlet. The couple has always desired to open a franchise, and their family's involvement in the food sector inspired them.
“When we first visited the original Duck Donuts store in North Carolina, we had a good customer experience, and we love Donuts,” Putnam said.
Hours of Operation
Once open, Duck Donuts Spring Hill will be open seven days a week. The hours are scheduled to run from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
