ORLANDO, FL — Dougie’s Dog Bar is targeting a mid- to late January opening in Orlando, Adam Harbin, VP of development and a partner, told Business Debut. The concept is planned for 1978 Stanholme Way, Suite B, Orlando, FL 32804.

What to Expect

Dougie’s is positioning itself as a “human-friendly dog bar,” Harbin told Business Debut. The indoor bar area will be dog-free except for service dogs, while the patio will allow leashed dogs without a membership requirement.

The differentiator is an off-leash yard area that will be available to members or guests who purchase a day pass. The team plans to verify dogs are a fit for the yard, including confirming vaccinations, before access is granted, Harbin told Business Debut.

Harbin said the space is designed for longer stays, with features including a 16-foot outdoor Jumbotron, dog splash pads and audio throughout. The layout includes about 2,000 square feet indoors (about 30 seats), a roughly 2,000-square-foot patio (about 30 to 40 seats), and additional seating in the yard, for an estimated seated capacity of about 75.

Food will center on a pizza-based lunch and dinner menu, with additional small bites meant to be easy to share, Harbin told Business Debut. Planned items include a shareable meatball slider, mini corn dog bites, pretzel boards with beer cheese and dipping sauces, chicken fingers, french fries and kettle chip nachos.

The beverage program is expected to include 12 beers on tap, frozen drinks and coffee drinks. Service is planned as fast-casual, with ordering available by phone for pickup at a window, plus limited table service at the inside bar.

Memberships

Access to Dougie’s off-leash dog yard will be available through memberships or single-day passes. Harbin told Business Debut that memberships will be offered on a monthly and annual basis, allowing dogs unlimited use of the yard during operating hours.

All dogs using the off-leash area will be required to complete a temperament check and have up-to-date vaccinations on file prior to entry. Guests who do not wish to purchase a membership will be able to access the yard through a paid day pass option, Harbin said.

Leashed dogs will be permitted on the patio without a membership, while the indoor bar area will remain dog-free except for service animals.

Happy Hour and Promotions

Dougie’s Dog Bar plans to offer weekday happy hour specials designed to draw after-work traffic, Harbin told Business Debut. Promotions are expected to include discounted beer, frozen drinks and select food items during designated afternoon and early evening hours.

The team also plans to host recurring events and promotions tied to sports viewing on the outdoor Jumbotron, community gatherings and dog-focused programming. Specific happy hour times and rotating specials will be announced closer to opening.

Opening Timeline

Harbin said the team is targeting a mid- to late January opening. The location will be in Orlando’s Packing District near College Park, and Harbin said the group expects to draw from nearby activity including High Point Climbing Gym.

Dougie’s Dog Bar is also partnering with ARC Pet Spa Hotel, which Harbin said will share a lobby with the concept. Harbin described the broader operating group as The P4 Group, while noting additional owners and investors tied to the project include Johnny O’Brien, Jay Floyd and Jon Weigel.

Planned hours are Monday–Thursday 4 p.m.–9 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.–10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.–10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
