MIRAMAR, FL — Yonutz is targeting a late spring opening at 2933 SW 160th Ave, Miramar, FL 33027, introducing its viral dessert concept and Yo Clawz arcade experience to The Fountains of Miramar. Franchisor Tony Bahu told Business Debut the location will be owned and operated by franchisee Rashid Elghoul, a Miramar resident who will also serve as an area developer for South Florida.

Founded in South Florida in 2018, the brand first gained national attention for its SMASHED donut and has since expanded across multiple states. Business Debut learned of this story first from What Now.

What to Expect

At the center of the menu is the SMASHED donut, created by slicing a donut in half, filling it with ice cream, pressing it, and finishing it with toppings ranging from cinnamon sugar to cookies or specialty combinations.

“That was really our claim to fame,” Bahu told Business Debut. “We take ice cream, put it inside a donut, SMASH it, and then either roll it in toppings or dress it up as one of our signature creations.”

In Miramar, guests will also experience Yo Clawz, an in-store claw machine arcade featuring eight or more machines and prize options. The concept was first tested in another market before expanding.

“It became wildly popular,” Bahu told Business Debut. “So we decided to move forward with it in several of our locations, and Miramar will absolutely be a Yo Clawz destination.”

While the SMASHED donut remains the flagship item, the menu extends beyond dessert. Yonutz offers breakfast sandwiches served on croissant buns or donuts, giving guests the option to lean classic or sweet-and-savory.

“You can be as fancy and crazy as you want to be with your breakfast,” Bahu told Business Debut.

Milkshakes are blended with inclusions and topped with a donut, and the beverage lineup includes coffee and Yo Refreshers made with real fruit.

The brand’s rise was accelerated after multiple Dessert Wars wins in Miami, including a national title.

Bahu’s son, Angelo Bahu, known online as @YoAngelolo, has built a social media following of more than 15 million and frequently showcases the brand’s products.

Bahu said Elghoul stood out not only for his business background but for his enthusiasm and alignment with the company’s hospitality standards.

“We’re extremely picky about our customer service experience,” Bahu told Business Debut. “Rashid was very eager, very qualified, and truly excited about bringing Yonutz to his hometown.”
