Della Torre’s Italian Deli Coming to St. Augustine This September
Authentic Italian sandwiches are coming soon.

Della Torre’s Italian Deli is bringing a taste of New York to St. Augustine this fall. Hal and Jen Della Torre, former Brooklyn residents, are opening their new business at 180 Registry Blvd Suite 102, St. Augustine, FL 32092, with plans to debut in September.
The deli is currently in the early stages of construction. While many details are still under wraps, Hal told Business Debut that fresh, Italian sandwiches will be at the heart of the menu. “Everything is going to be fresh, from the bread to the cheese,” he said. “I got a lot of ideas and a lot of surprises.”
Hal brings experience from his time working in a New York deli and learning traditional recipes from his great aunt. His great-grandmother immigrated from Italy, and those family roots inspire the sandwiches he plans to serve. “I’m looking to bring some New York Italian Deli flavor that this area and everyone in it is missing,” he said.

Hal is pursuing the deli full-time following his retirement as a sanitation worker in NYC. His wife, Jen, works locally as a registered nurse.
“We’re just a regular family,” Hal added. “We’re just regular, average Joe Americans trying to take care of our family.”
