Delectable Delights Expanding With Largest Store in Bartow

BARTOW, FL — Delectable Delights, the ice cream, candy, and toy concept created by Devra Wygant, is preparing to open its largest store yet early next year. Wygant told Business Debut the team is targeting a February opening at 75 East Main Street, Bartow, Florida 33830.

This will be the company’s fifth location since the brand first launched 10 years ago. The Bartow shop will be roughly twice the size of the biggest existing store, giving the team room to introduce new community-driven features.

What to Expect

The concept will remain centered on ice cream, candy, and toys within a casual environment. Seating will include about 20 seats inside, plus an additional private event room with roughly eight seats.

The expanded layout allows Delectable Delights to debut a new “shop local” section that gives area makers a place to showcase and sell their goods. Wygant said the idea began after seeing how local artists and young creators thrived when offered a small amount of space in the company’s other locations. “We wanted to give people in the community the opportunity to share what they make, even if they can’t have a storefront of their own,” she told Business Debut.

Menu and Vision

Wygant said Delectable Delights was inspired by an ice cream shop she loved as a child. “We wanted to create a place where people would make those same memories with friends and family,” she told Business Debut.

The menu features award-winning ice cream from Wisconsin, including the guest favorite This Bleep Just Got Serious, a salted caramel flavor with sea salt fudge and salted cashews.

Other staples include Zanzibar chocolate mixed with the brand’s award-winning strawberry, and the Papa Phil’s banana split named after Wygant’s father who made her, her first banana split.

Customers can be creative and choose from more than two dozen flavors and over 20 toppings.

Community Impact

Giving back is a core part of the company’s identity. The team regularly hosts school spirit nights and helps raise funds for local charities. At the Winter Haven location, Delectable Delights partnered with two animal rescues by featuring adoptable dogs in the Christmas window display.

Hours

Delectable Delights will open seven days a week beginning at noon daily.
