Bootstrapped catering company is expanding.
Dark Side of the Spoon, a catering company owned by Patrick Matticker and Matthew Rogers, is expanding its operations with a food truck in Jacksonville, Matticker shared with Business Debut.
What started as a small farmers market business selling jams, sauces, and spreads has steadily grown to a full-on catering company focused on serving excellent tacos.
Regularly popping up at breweries like Brewhound Dog Park and Ink Factory Brewery, they also serve late-night tacos at Mango’s 2.0 in Jacksonville Beach on weekends. A need for a mobile truck has grown, Matticker said. They will be rolling out the truck in a couple of weeks.
Their menu, Matticker emphasized, has always been straightforward: high-quality tacos for corporate events, birthday parties, baby showers and any other occasions.
