Dark Alchemy Coffee Shop Opening Soon in Holly Hill
Espresso, chai tea lattes, and smoothies with fresh baked pastries will highlight the menu at Dark Alchemy.
HOLLY HILL, FL – Dark Alchemy, a new coffee shop opening soon in Holly Hill, will officially welcome customers on October 1st, according to co-owner Richard Hernandez, who spoke with Business Debut. The business is owned by Hernandez and his partner, Cheril Ramirez, both engineers who share a love for coffee. Located at 235 Riverside Drive, Suite 101A, Holly Hill, FL 32117, Dark Alchemy will bring gourmet espresso and high-quality beverages to the local community.
The shop will seat about 30 guests, with space both indoors and outdoors. There won’t be a drive-through, but the atmosphere will encourage guests to sit down and enjoy their drinks. A conference room next door will also be available for community use, with future plans for a small convenience market offering snacks and drinks.
A Coffee Concept Rooted in Quality
Dark Alchemy will focus on dark roast, full-bodied coffee that is sourced locally from Steel Oak Coffee Roasters, which is developing a custom blend for the shop. The menu list includes:
- Espresso
- Macchiatos
- chai tea lattes
- matcha lattes
- Hot and iced beverages, along with coffee and organic syrups
- Smoothies and freshly baked pastries from local bakers, with minimal additives
Hernandez emphasized their focus on wellness and simple ingredients. “We're very much into the mindset of healthy living, fresh ingredients, simple and clean rather than having everything being processed,” he said.
Family and Backstory
Hernandez, originally from Chicago with Cuban heritage, has lived in Florida since the early 1990s and settled in the Holly Hill area three years ago. His partner, Ramirez, is an industrial engineer from Venezuela who moved to the U.S. four years ago. His two daughters, Olivia and Juliana Hernandez, will also be involved in the business part-time, making Dark Alchemy a true family venture.
“Coffee has always been a second passion of ours,” Hernandez said. “We wanted to create something robust and high quality that Holly Hill could enjoy.”
Operating Hours
Dark Alchemy’s hours will be Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Stay tuned for updates on their website and social media, which may be released soon (still under development).
