Dapper D’s Cigars and Restaurant is bringing a downtown cigar lounge, bar, and restaurant to Jacksonville, owner Jack Jackson shared with Business Debut.

The Dapper D’s brand originally started in 2020. They’ve since expanded to a second location and will soon be opening their third in downtown Jacksonville.

In a two-story building at 11 Ocean St, Jacksonville, FL 32202, Dapper D’s will offer a cigar lounge and bar upstairs, and a fast casual restaurant and bar downstairs.

On the ground floor, expect a restaurant serving steak or chicken Philly cheesesteaks, along with wings, salads, fries, and Philly cheesesteak fries. Jackson said there will be 58 seats downstairs, which will be a no-smoking zone and accessible by a separate entrance than the cigar lounge.

The restaurant is planned to have a full liquor bar.

It will feature lighter wooden accents, brighter colors and a tribute to the Jaguars.

Upstairs, the lounge will have a richer, darker vibe with navy blues, gold, and rich leather lounge chairs. There will be a full bar upstairs as well, and guests will be able to order food to be brought up from the restaurant below.

Expect around 49 seats in the cigar lounge area. For those familiar with the Dapper D’s ambiance in the other two locations, the downtown space will carry a similar aesthetic.

Jackson shared that since they already have a location in North Jacksonville and one in South Jacksonville, opening downtown was pivotal for the brand. He envisions Dapper D’s as a positive presence in the downtown area.

Jackson noted that this new Dapper D’s will be unique in that guests can have a drink, something to eat, and enjoy a cigar all in one place.

Jackson is working on the business with his wife, Rashina Jackson. The couple are both veterans.

The downtown location is finalizing its construction budget and plans to open in September, in time for football season.
