Cultura Bakery and Cafe Bringing Naples Flavors to Boca Raton
Opening this fall, Cultura Bakery and Cafe will serve authentic Italian pastries, Roman pizza, and Amalfi Coast-inspired smoothies.
BOCA RATON, FL – A slice of Naples, Italy is coming to Boca Raton this fall with the opening of Cultura Bakery and Cafe. It’s a fast-casual Italian restaurant led by sixth-generation chef Giovanni Maggio and his wife, Mia. The new spot will be at 801 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432, with a soft opening targeted between September and October.
“We will bring a piece of Naples into Boca Raton, Florida,” Maggio told Business Debut. “We're going to make our food from scratch with family recipes since 1950.”
Cultura Bakery and Cafe will be in a 1,200-square-foot space with 10 to 15 indoor seats, offering counter-service and catering.
What’s on the Menu
Cultura Italian Bakery and Cafe will offer various house-made Italian pastries, such as pistachio, almond, Nutella, and butter croissants, as well as cakes, crêpes, and other classic breakfast dishes.
Starting at 11 am, the menu shifts to savory options such as Roman-style pizza, Neapolitan pizza, focaccia sandwiches, and fresh salads. The cafe also intends to provide smoothies created with fresh ingredients, such as blood orange, to emulate the flavors of the Amalfi Coast. A beer and wine license is being considered for future service.
A traditional Italian coffee program will complement the morning menu, with cappuccinos, lattes, and other espresso-based drinks. Maggio also shared that they are only using imported flours, meats, and tomatoes, non-bleached flour, and a no-fryer clean baking approach.
Family Legacy and Italian Roots
Chef Maggio began his culinary career in his family's kitchen in Naples, Italy, as a baker with his father. After acquiring his culinary degree, he worked in the family's catering business. With his years of experience, Maggio is now opening his first U.S. restaurant and is committed to authenticity.
His wife, Mia, will handle administrative duties such as hiring and menu creation.
Opening Hours
