DADE COUNTY

Cozy Green

A new cafe is in the works for Homestead, owner Jean Paul Cadotte told FFBW. Cozy Green is amidst construction right now and Cadotte expects to open sometime in September. They will serve salads, soups, sandwiches, coffee and teas. Their address will be: 223 S Krome Ave, Homestead, FL 33030.

Cadotte is also the owner of Yardie Spice Restaurant in Homestead, which serves Creole and Jamaican cuisines.


Kassaki Sushi

A new upscale sushi place is in the works for Miami Beach, according to Justin Marquez, the director of business operations at Kissaki Hospitality Group. When this New York born brand will open is unknown.

BROWARD COUNTY

Gyromania

A new fast-casual gyro spot is coming to the area soon, according to co-owner Tia Holness. Gyromania is originally from California, and they are expanding in South Florida. Holness told FFBW that they tentatively plan to open in November.

More units may be on the way, Holness hinted. More details or a timeline are unavailable as of now.

Coffee Hogs

A new brand is on the rise in South Florida, according to owner Manny Castro. Coffee Hogs is a YouTube channel focused on motorcycle travel, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Castro told FFBW that he is scouting for the best location to open a cafe with a motorcycle shop next door so that he can create a staple stop for all the bikers passing through the area.

Castro is a ways from opening the concept, however, because he plans to develop his YouTube channel more, begin roasting coffee, and expanding the brand before opening brick and mortar.

ORANGE COUNTY

Yallah Hot Chicken

Owner Hitham Hiyajneh told FFBW that he is planning to open his Yallah Hot Chicken concept in Orlando next month. The restaurant will serve Nashville style hot chicken with a bit of a mediterranean twist, Hiyajneh said. He expects the location to be open by the 15th of August. The Yallah Foods LLC brand is based out of Pennsylvania.

Hiyajneh is also planning to open in Oviedo. A location is not known at this time, as they are still scouting for a building, but Hiyajneh is hoping to open in about six months.

OSCEOLA COUNTY

Sips & Dips

A North Carolina-born brand is preparing for expansion in Central Florida, co-owner Kylee Pickering told FFBW. Sips & Dips will be coming to Florida by way of The Four Foodies Group, LLC, which includes Amie and Sean Liston, and Kylee and Jeffrey Pickering.

Pickering told FFBW that in her family's home state of Utah, her husband franchised several restaurants; so entering a partnership with the Liston's to expand the Sips & Dips concept was a natural next step when they moved to the area.

Sips & Dips is a neighborhood soda and snack shop that serves speciality soda drinks, mocktails, and snacks. They are self branded as a "A fresh, on-trend, quick serve 'drinkery and snackery...'" Check the website for more.

The first location appear at: 1340 S Narcoossee Rd #107, St Cloud, FL 34771. Pickering reports that more are on the way in the future.

POLK COUNTY

The Lake House Kitchen

A local brand is preparing for a large expansion over the next year. The Lake House Kitchen is planning to open two brick and mortal units and 10 more mobile units, co-owner Moses Vazquez told FFBW. Their Facebook page shows their plans for one of the physical units at: 695 Ave K SW, Winter Haven, FL 33880.

Vazquez said that the other brick and mortar unit is planned for South Lakeland. Opening dates are unavailable at this time.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

Angelina's Deli

Owner Angelina Giambo is planning to open in 750 square-foot storefront in downtown Plant City. The Italian style deli will be serving sandwiches, salads, and wraps. Additionally, she will have charcuterie brunches on the weekend.

Currently, she is waiting on the buildout to be complete, and hopes to open at the end of August. The business address is: 204 S Collins St, Plant City, FL 33563.
