Coming Soon to Homewood: NY Deli & Juice Bar
The popular restaurant from greater Atlanta, Georgia is coming to Alabama.
HOMEWOOD, AL — NY Deli & Juice Bar, led by owner Mohamed Nagi, is preparing a new location at 803 Green Springs Hwy, Homewood, AL 35209, targeting a late July or early August opening, Nagi told Business Debut.
The restaurant will open in the former SanPeggios Pizza space on Green Springs Highway. Nagi shared with Business Debut in a phone interview that the company saw strong demand after its launch in Atlanta and sought a high-traffic corridor near downtown Birmingham.
What to Expect
he menu at NY Deli & Juice Bar centers on New York-style deli offerings. The breakfast section includes egg sandwiches, bagels with spreads, and platters with eggs, meats, and home fries.
Lunch and dinner options include cold and hot sandwiches, wraps, and heroes made with deli meats, cheeses, and breads associated with New York delis. The menu highlights cheesesteaks, grilled chicken sandwiches, burgers, salads, and sides such as fries and onion rings.
Guests will also find a selection of pasta dishes and entrees like chicken over rice and lamb over rice. The restaurant offers desserts, including cheesecake and brownies.
The juice bar serves fresh juices, smoothies, and protein shakes with combinations of fruits, vegetables, and add-ins. The juice bar will sit within the same overall dining room but with a defined section of its own, Nagi said.
Nagi said the concept focuses on an authentic New York-style deli experience. The company is also preparing to launch a franchise program, with a limited offering to qualified partners targeting January 2027, Nagi told Business Debut.
The Homewood location will include a drive-thru system. “We’ll be the first deli to have drive-through,” Nagi told Business Debut, adding that the team is working to create a drive-thru experience focused on quality and speed.
Houston Plans
The NY Deli & Juice Bar team is also opening in Houston, Texas. The restaurant in Houston on Westheimer Road, which is a destination in the city for international foods. This Houston location will open in late July.
Opening Timeline
The Homewood restaurant will open in late July or the first week of August. The exact Homewood opening date is to be announced.
