ATLANTA, GA — CocoLuxe Ice Cream & Sweets, a new plant-based dessert concept from owner Tonya Whitfield, is targeting a May 1 launch. The mobile food trailer will serve locations across metro Atlanta, Whitfield told Business Debut.

What to Expect

CocoLuxe Ice Cream & Sweets will operate as a mobile dessert trailer traveling to areas including West End, Atlantic Station, Piedmont Park and Grant Park. Whitfield told Business Debut the business will focus on vegan, dairy-free and allergy-friendly frozen desserts designed for a wide range of customers.

The concept will launch with novelty-style frozen treats before expanding into additional offerings. Whitfield said the goal is to provide options that are approachable for families looking for alternatives to traditional ice cream.

Whitfield said CocoLuxe was created to offer clean-label desserts made without artificial dyes, preservatives or excess sugar. She told Business Debut the menu will include items such as organic fruit-based pops and non-dairy ice cream options.

“We want to have an alternative with clean label desserts,” Whitfield told Business Debut.

Whitfield said many of the products will be low-sugar and made with fruit-based ingredients, designed as options she would feel comfortable serving to her own family. She added that future plans include expanding into scooped vegan ice cream and customizable bowls prepared in front of customers.

Opening Timeline

Whitfield said the business is targeting a May 1 opening, with a potential soft opening to take place ahead of that date as final event locations are confirmed. She told Business Debut she is currently working to secure initial placements for the trailer’s debut.
