Cigar and Sports Lounge Debuting in Rocky Mount on Dec. 13th

ROCKY MOUNT, NC — B & D's Cigars and Sports Lounge, a new upscale cigar and sports lounge from owner Steve Deloach and partners Carol J. Deloach, Carlton Ray Baker and Sharon A Barns-Baker, is targeting a Dec. 13 opening at 129 SE Main St, Rocky Mount, NC 27801, Deloach told Business Debut.

He described the venue as the only cigar lounge in Rocky Mount proper, pairing premium cigars with a full-service bar and sports viewing.

What to Expect

B & D's Cigars and Sports Lounge is designed as a high-end space where guests can smoke cigars, watch games, and enjoy drinks in a comfortable, lounge-style setting. The bar will serve mixed drinks, wine, and draft beer alongside cigar offerings. Multiple large-screen televisions will be positioned throughout the lounge for sports fans.

A key feature of the buildout is an upgraded ventilation approach. Deloach said the team installed a high-end ventilation system specifically to help remove cigar smoke from the air, supplemented by air purifiers throughout the space. The goal is to maintain a cleaner, more comfortable environment while still offering a true cigar lounge experience.

Menu and Vision

Cigar service will center on a full-size walk-in humidor, allowing guests to browse and purchase cigars on-site. Patrons will be able to pair their selection with a glass of scotch, whiskey, brandy, or another drink from the bar.

Deloach described the vision as creating “something upscale, super nice” where guests can relax over a premium cigar and a quality drink. The team is emphasizing a classy atmosphere, anchored by seating areas that cater to both casual game-watching and more intimate conversation.

Opening Timeline

The lounge is targeting a Dec. 13 opening. Deloach noted that the date is a goal and remains subject to final preparations and approvals.

Hours

B & D's Cigars and Sports Lounge plans to open Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. — 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday hours are expected to be 1 p.m. — 9 p.m., with the possibility of staying open later, until about 11 p.m., during peak sports seasons such as football. Final hours are subject to adjustment after opening.

Additional Spaces and Features

A private VIP room will offer a more secluded option for small groups. The enclosed room is designed to seat about six guests and will have its own dedicated ventilation tied into the overall system. Deloach said the team is considering a membership program and booking minimums for the space, with details still to be announced.

Entertainment will center around a built-in stage, roughly 10 feet by 10 feet, equipped with an audio system. The stage will host karaoke, which Deloach said is popular locally, along with other live entertainment such as bands, DJs, or stand-up comedy.
