LAUDERHILL, FL — Caribbean Pot On Wheels Jerk Center is expanding from its food-truck roots into its first full brick-and-mortar restaurant at 5240 N University Dr, Lauderhill, FL 33351.

Owner Gromyko Grannel told Business Debut the restaurant is scheduled to open January 1–3, 2026.

What to Expect

The new location will operate as a sit-down Jamaican jerk center with takeout also available. Grannel said guests can expect seating for about 100 people across the dining area. After operating solely as a food truck, the permanent location will allow the team to expand its offerings and serve customers in a dine-in setting.

Grannel said the menu will feature traditional Jamaican jerk dishes, including jerk chicken, jerk pork, rice and peas, and oxtail. The restaurant also plans to introduce special items such as lobster festival plates and vegan options.

“We do great food,” he told Business Debut. Grannel added that the goal is to serve authentic Jamaican flavors in a comfortable environment while expanding the variety beyond what the food truck could support.

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting an opening between January 1 and January 3, 2026.
