Cajun Seafood Market Restaurant Debuting in Ellenton
Crawfish & Crab Bayou is opening March 5th in Ellenton, serving locally sourced seafood with Cajun flavors.
ELLENTON, FL – Crawfish & Crab Bayou is set to open March 5 at 3412 US-301, Unit 101, Ellenton, FL 34222, with a grand opening planned for March 8. Owner Tim Le told Business Debut the restaurant will focus on fresh, locally sourced seafood and a Cajun-inspired menu.
Le said the goal is to bring more locally caught seafood to the area while supporting Florida fishermen as much as possible by purchasing their daily and weekly catches.
What to Expect
Crawfish & Crab Bayou will operate as a full-service restaurant with seating for approximately 60 to 70 guests. The concept blends a seafood restaurant and market, allowing guests to order from the menu or select items directly from the seafood case to be prepared to their preference.
The menu will feature live blue crabs, crawfish, oysters, and a variety of seafood plates. Le said the restaurant will offer fresh oysters daily, including raw and chargrilled options.
The concept carries a New Orleans influence, with Cajun flavors throughout the menu.
Menu and Vision
Signature items include crawfish boils, Maryland-style steamed blue crabs, chargrilled oysters, and po’ boy sandwiches with shrimp or oysters. Guests can also expect gumbo, gator bites, and other Cajun staples.
“We try our best to hook up with the local fishermen and support them,” Le told Business Debut. “Bring the local products to the local people here.”
Le said freshness and quality are the top priorities. “You can tell the difference in the taste when it’s fresh,” he told Business Debut.
In addition to the restaurant, Le owns a seafood shop in the same plaza called DC Seafood, a live blue crab market that has been operating for several years. The market specializes in live and steamed blue crabs and has established a customer base familiar with the quality of seafood that will now extend into the restaurant. Crawfish & Crab Bayou will be family-run, with Le and his sister helping manage operations.

The restaurant will open March 5, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for March 8.
Hours
Crawfish & Crab Bayou will be closed on Tuesdays. Operating hours are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on weekends. Hours may adjust as operations evolve.
