Cafe Tiramisu Returning to Original Raleigh Location
A local staple is returning to their original location.
RALEIGH, NC – Cafe Tiramisu will return to its longtime home in Northridge Shopping Center at 6196 Falls of Neuse Rd #116, Raleigh, NC 27609 this fall. Currently, the restaurant is open on the opposite end of the shopping center.
Richard DeMartino, son of Chef Paolo DeMartino, shared that they are returning to the space they occupied for 20 years, before being forced out by their landlords to make room for a new tenant. Now, the space is vacant again and they are renovating and returning to it.
The New Space
Expect an ambiance rich with woodwork (cherrywood with a mahogany color), dark blue colors and brass fixtures. Chandeliers will illuminate the dining room, which will feature all new furniture.
DeMartino said, "At Tiramisu right now we seat eight people at the bar. In the new location, it will be 16... so the bar will be doubled. A lot of people like to sit at the bar."
The overall seat count for Cafe Tiramisu will be increasing from 50 seats to around 85, between the tables, booths, and the bar.
The Menu
DeMartino shared that they will continue to serve their tried and true menu of Northern Italian cuisine. Some slight updates will likely be made, but the core menu will remain intact.
Family Legacy
The DeMartino family has been active in the Raleigh restaurant scene since 1976, when Chef Paolo DeMartino opened Piccolo Mondo. In 1996, DeMartino debuted Cafe Tiramisu with his sons, Richard and Rodolfo, who are still active in running the business today. Over the years, the restaurant has served many distinguished guests and was featured on HGTV’s Love It or List It show in 2015.
Operating Hours
Cafe Tiramisu will be operating Sunday through Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
