Boda Opening in Tampa With Fresh, Authentic Mexican Cuisine
From the owner of Riveters in Tampa, Boda will be a polished fast casual Mexican spot.

Boda, a new and polished fast casual Mexican restaurant, is opening in Tampa, owner Andres Farfan shared with Business Debut. The restaurant is planning to open in the former Not Your Average Joe’s Pizza space at 2038 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33607.
Farfan, who also owns Riveters sports bar in Tampa, said the concept will offer never-frozen food—there will be no freezers on the property—and fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine in a refined fast casual setting.
In our interview, Farfan noted a gap in the market between pricier full-service Mexican restaurants and hole-in-the-wall taquerias. Boda aims to bridge that gap by offering quality and value in a more polished environment. The chefs, Farfan added, are coming from Veracruz, Mexico.
The word “boda” means “wedding” in Spanish, and the restaurant will feature a Day of the Dead wedding theme throughout its décor.
Boda is aiming for a mid-July opening and is currently awaiting permits from the city to begin work on the space.
Expect lunch and dinner service, beer and wine, and eventual plans to add breakfast.
