Blue Willow Inn to Reopen in Social Circle Early 2025
The historic Blue Willow Inn will return early next year, offering classic Southern cooking, Sunday brunch, and an enhanced gift shop experience.
The iconic Blue Willow Inn Restaurant and Gift Shop is set to reopen in late January or early February, following extensive renovations, owner Andre Merkerson shared with Business Debut. Andre Merkerson is a real estate investor based out of Covington, GA.
Located at 294 N Cherokee Rd, Social Circle, GA 30025, the historic venue is undergoing updates that preserve its charm while modernizing essential areas. The renovations are about 50% complete, with the former owner, Billie Van Dyke, overseeing the process alongside Merkerson.
Known for its lavish Southern cooking, Blue Willow Inn will continue that tradition under the guidance of its new chef, Carmenia Morgan-Tyrus. Originally from Liberia, Morgan-Tyrus also operates Musulyn’s International Restaurant in Covington. Merkerson decided to bring Chef Carmenia onto the project after eating at her Covington restaurant and being blown away by her cooking.
The restaurant is aiming to offer Sunday brunch and possibly Saturday brunch, adding to its classic menu of Southern staples. The Blue Willow Inn’s beloved gift shop will return, enhanced to include coffee and pastries for guests.
With its commitment to Southern hospitality, the Blue Willow Inn is poised to welcome back guests in early 2025. Visit their website to learn more.
