Big Play Entertainment Opening Family Fun Center in Dunwoody
Guests can enjoy 16 bowling lanes, laser tag, mini golf, arcade games, and full-service dining.
DUNWOODY, GA — Big Play Entertainment, a family-owned entertainment center concept, is preparing to open its newest location at 2480 Mount Vernon Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338. Co-owner Brandon Wooldridge told Business Debut the facility is targeting a November 20 opening for most attractions, with full operations expected by December 1.
What to Expect
The 42,000-square-foot venue will feature 16 lanes of boutique bowling, a laser tag arena, a nine-hole 1980s-themed blacklight mini golf course, and an arcade with about 80 games.
The space will also include a full-service restaurant and bar, plus event and meeting areas for corporate and private gatherings.
“We’ve got something for everyone, from four years old to 104,” Wooldridge told Business Debut. “Bowling and mini golf were chosen because of the wide age range they attract.”
Menu and Vision
Inside Big Play, guests will find Woody’s Restaurant and Bar, a full-service dining experience designed to stand on its own. The 240-seat restaurant includes a 25-person bar and table service throughout the dining area and bowling lanes.
“We like to say we’re an upscale American restaurant,” Wooldridge said. “We do burgers, pizzas, wings, and cheesesteaks, but we also offer salads, charcuterie, and entrees like grilled sirloin, salmon, and shrimp and rice.”
Woody’s will serve a range of cocktails, wine, and craft beer, including Big Play’s signature 18-ounce “fish bowl” drinks. The bar’s selection features premium tequilas, bourbons, and wines at various price points.
Ownership and Background
Big Play Entertainment is a family business founded by Brandon and his father, Ray Wooldridge, who also co-owns the company.
The concept began in Biloxi, Mississippi, after Hurricane Katrina, when the Wooldridge family developed the first Big Play location to help bring family attractions back to the Gulf Coast. Brandon’s brother, Matthew, now oversees IT, purchasing, and food and beverage operations, while his wife, Shelly, leads creative design and marketing.
