Betty's Cuisine Bringing Haitian Flavors to Pompano Beach
Guests can expect oxtail, pikliz, sandwiches, and breakfast items.
POMPANO BEACH, FL - Betty's Cuisine is preparing to open its first location at 560 W Sample Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33064, with owners Chris Destine and Betty Moreau targeting an opening within the next month, Destine told Business Debut.
The restaurant will operate inside AMP Solo Gas Station and is positioned as the first Betty's Cuisine location and the beginning of a planned franchise model.
What to Expect
Betty's Cuisine is designed as a grab-and-go restaurant with no dine-in seating. Destine said the concept is built to serve both the surrounding community and drivers stopping for gas, breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the go.
The restaurant will feature an open kitchen concept, allowing customers to watch meals being prepared in real time. Destine said that visibility is part of the experience and helps build trust with customers as they see the food being made fresh.
Menu and Vision
The menu will focus on breakfast, finger foods, sandwiches, Caribbean dishes, and Haitian-inspired offerings. Destine said customers can expect items such as chicken fingers, small-format pizza, burritos, turkey sandwiches, hot and cold subs, tacos, breakfast sandwiches, bagels with egg and cheese, and made-to-order eggs with bacon or sausage.
The concept also aims to introduce more customers to Haitian cuisine while keeping the menu accessible to a broad audience. Destine told Business Debut that Haitian food is central to the vision, while the menu is structured to appeal to the area’s diverse community. Signature items include oxtail and pikliz, a spicy Haitian slaw made with cabbage, carrots, and hot peppers.
Destine, who said he has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 20 years, also owns other restaurants in Boston, Massachusetts. He said Betty's Cuisine is a new concept and marks the brand’s first location.
