Benton Brew Coffee Lounge Coming Soon to Tampa
Tampa’s newest coffee lounge will feature coffee, music, pastries, and art.
TAMPA, FL – Benton Brew Coffee Lounge is preparing to open its doors at 5008 W Linebaugh Ave, Tampa, FL 33624, bringing a concept that blends coffee, music, and the arts. Angel and Carol Soto, the coffee shop's owners, told Business Debut that it has been in the works for 20 years, having roots in the Tampa Bay music scene.
Benton Brew Coffee Lounge is currently under construction, and the owners have not yet announced an opening date and operating hours. The café will operate as a fast-casual spot where people can enjoy coffee, pastries, music, and art all in one place.
The shop will include approximately 25 inside chairs with plans for live music on a lounge-style stage. There will not be outdoor seating initially.
A Coffee House Inspired by Music and Art
The Sotos previously ran a record store before shifting into the music industry full-time. They currently run a recording studio right next door and plan to expand their creative space into a coffee lounge. Benton Brew will also include art and photography studios, making it a hub for artists, musicians, and the local community.
“Everything from the décor to the menu names is inspired by music,” Angel Soto said.
For the Sotos, Benton Brew is more than just a business; it’s an extension of their mission to support independent artists in Tampa Bay. “This is another opportunity to do that, especially since we’ll have a stage and can give people a healthy place to come and enjoy music,” Carol explained.
Creative Menu with Music-Inspired Drinks
Benton Brew’s menu goes beyond standard coffee offerings by giving each item a playful, music-themed twist. Some highlights include:

- Affogato (espresso with gelato) – Meltdown
Along with coffee and specialty beverages, the café will start with outsourced pastries and baked goods, with plans to eventually bake in-house.
“We consume a lot of coffee ourselves, and we just felt like the idea of creating a coffee house that’s also an artistic space was magical,” Carol Soto said.
