SMYRNA, GA - A staple along Atlanta Road in Smyrna has officially closed after 25 years in business. Owner Bruce Blumberg told Business Debut that Bella’s Pizza Bar and Grill has shuttered at 3599 Atlanta Rd SE #A13, Smyrna, GA 30080.

The restaurant was known for its New York style pizza, garlic knots, and a large space in the back with pool tables, a bar, and a stage for live performances. Blumberg attributed difficulty with staffing, expensive rent, and a dwindling customer base as reasons for the closure.

The restaurant was tucked away in the strip mall at the corner of Atlanta Road SE and Paces Ferry SE, between Paces Bottle Shop and Cigar Villa. After 25 years in the space, its walls were adorned with plaques of local sports teams, signed pizza peels, road signs, and a large illuminated fish tank. Bella’s Pizza Bar and Grill was unassuming from the curb but could accommodate a large number of guests in its front dining room and in the back bar room.

Blumberg shared that he does not have any other restaurant-related plans in the immediate future.
