Barrio Burrito Bar Opening Soon in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Barrio Burrito Bar is expected to open in late October or early November at 1670 West Tennessee Street, Unit 4, Tallahassee, FL 32304, co-franchisee Devanshi Brahmbhatt told Business Debut.

The quick-service restaurant follows a Chipotle-style format but emphasizes greater variety and flavor. Guests can build burritos, bowls, tacos, and salads with numerous protein and topping options, including vegetarian and vegan-friendly choices. With 45 seats indoors and 16 outdoors, the space is designed to serve both grab-and-go diners and students who want to sit, eat, and work on projects nearby.

This is the first restaurant venture for franchisees Devanshi and Samir Brahmbhatt. The couple was introduced to the concept by Devanshi’s cousins in Canada, who already operate locations there under the Barburrito brand. After visiting and meeting with the corporate team, the Brahmbhatts decided to bring the franchise to Florida.

“Everyone loves Mexican food. We wanted to offer something fresh, flavorful, and affordable for students,” Devanshi Brahmbhatt told Business Debut.

Samir Brahmbhatt will oversee operations, including management, hiring, marketing, and finances. He said that they chose to franchise rather than open an independent restaurant because they valued the structure and support system.

The franchise itself has a strong growth trajectory. With more than 400 locations in Canada, the brand has already launched 20-plus stores in the United States, with 50 more in the pipeline. Its long-term commitment is to reach 1,100 locations nationwide.

Located near Florida State University, Barrio Burrito Bar aims to serve the student population with quick, customizable meals at accessible price points. The concept is designed to be both fast and flexible, with a focus on freshness made daily.

The restaurant is targeting an opening between late October and early November 2025.

Initial hours will be Monday through Sunday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., with adjustments possible after opening.
