Baran Café to Bring Mediterranean Lounge to Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Baran Café Inc., located at 3546 St Johns Bluff Rd S, Jacksonville, FL 32246, is preparing to bring a new Mediterranean and Middle Eastern lounge experience to the area. Owned by Noor Ahmad, the café will combine authentic dishes, traditional teas, and a relaxing hookah lounge atmosphere. Ahmad anticipates opening at the beginning of January as he awaits the arrival of custom furniture and fixtures.

What to Expect

Guests can look forward to favorites such as falafel, shawarma, kebabs, rice, and gyros, along with desserts like baklava and a variety of traditional teas. The menu will stay tight so food comes out quickly in a comfortable lounge setting. Seating is planned for around 100 guests, with both bar and floor seating, and there are plans to serve alcohol.

A Dream Turned Reality

Ahmad brings experience from real estate flipping and smoke shops. Inspired by his travels and visits to similar lounges abroad, he’s focused on elevating service and quality for Jacksonville. The building, formerly a Mexican restaurant, is undergoing a full renovation with a redesigned bar, new flooring, and custom furniture.

Hours and Grand Opening

Baran Café will be open seven days a week from 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. A grand opening is planned once construction is complete, with the target of early January.

Meet the Owner

Ahmad is currently leading the project and will bring on managers, chefs, and staff as opening approaches. He aims to create a welcoming place where guests can relax, enjoy small plates, and gather with friends late into the evening.
