Welcome back to this week's restaurant roundup! We've got a great list of new businesses making way into the state. Sit down with a coffee and spend a few minutes reading about the newest restaurants coming to your area!

DADE COUNTY

Bar Luca

Miami Beach will soon be home to a new concept called Bar Luca, according to co-owner Ken Ray. According to Ray, Bar Luca is in the very beginning stages of development, and they do not have an estimated opening date yet.

Per a filing with the Division of Corporations, the business appears to be setting up at: 2925 Indian Creek Dr, Miami Beach, FL 33140. At this address currently is the Sonder at Found Miami Beach hotel.


Miam Cafe

The Miam brand is planning to open another location in South Florida, according to a filing with the DBPR. Miam is owned by Yulak Landa of Miam Cafe III, LLC. When this unit will open is unknown. Expect to find them at: 1040 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132.

The division of corporations shows a recent filing of Miam Cafe IV, LLC, indicating that more than one location is on the way, but an address is not available for this unit.

Currently, it seems that they have one location open already. Read more about the the Miam brand on their website.


BurgerFi

According to a plan review filing with the DBPR, another Miami location of BurgerFi is on the way. NDM Hospitality, who have franchised other locations of the burger joint, are behind this development. When it will open is unknown.

Happy's Stork Lounge & Liquor Store

This North Bay Village staple is moving to a new location this summer, according to owner Howard Inerfeld. Happy's Stork Lounge & Liquor Store is planned to move from 1872 79th Street Causeway to 1624 79th Street Causeway, North Bay Village, FL 33141.

Inerfeld reported to FFBW that the space will be a bit bigger and will have a full kitchen. Their current location does not offer food. Expect to enjoy American-style bar food. Their opening date isn't official yet, but Inerfeld said he'd like to be open on June 14.


Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café

This Texas-native brand is moving into Coral Gables soon, according to Chief Development Officer Alberto Landero. The brand already has one other location in Miami, and when this unit will open is unknown. Their website states Spring 2023, but Landero didn't have a date to share.

BROWARD COUNTY

VooDoo Bayou

Native to Palm Beach Gardens, Voo Doo Bayou is planning an expansion in Fort Lauderdale, according to owner Clinton Peery. When we can expect to enjoy exotic craft cocktails and southern cajun food is unclear. Peery told FFBW that he is getting close, and that it will probably be another couple of months before they open.

Byte and Coffee

A new coffee shop is headed to the area, according to owner Catherine Basilone. Byte and Coffee is planning to debut at Lighthouse Point along Federal Highway. According to their website, Byte and Coffee will have Australian influence. Basilone reported to FFBW that they do not have an opening date as of now.

PALM BEACH COUNTY

Golden Krust

A new location of Golden Krust is on the way, according to vice president Paul Farrier of Farrier Enterprises, INC. The new Caribbean joint doesn't have an opening date to share as of now, Farrier reported to FFBW.

Watch out for Golden Krust at: 1375 S Military Trail, Deerfield Beach, FL 33442.

ORANGE COUNTY

Voodoo Bayou

The Palm Beach Gardens-native brand Voodoo Bayou is opening an Orlando outfit soon, according to a filing with the DBPR. When this new restaurant will open is unclear, but I know that when it does, we'll all welcome the NOLA taste it offers.

Quesa Loco

An area-local brand, Quesa Loco, is opening a new location in Apopka soon, according to co-owner Daniel King. The brand has a permanent location and a food truck open already, which you can read about on their website.

King reported that this unit will open sometime next month. A specific date isn't available as of now. Find it at: 2107 E Semoran Blvd a, Apopka, FL 32703.


AJ Chocolate House

Winter Park will be home to a European-style chocolate cafe, co-owner Katherine Urbyte confirmed with FFBW. AJ Chocolate House started in Lithuania in 2002, and since has spread throughout Europe. This Winter Park unit will be the brand's debut in the United States.

Banana Leaf Villa Orlando

A small restaurant is set to debut in the boutique hotel Banana Leaf Villa, according to owner Juliet Jah. As of now, Jah doesn't have many details to share. An opening date for the restaurant hasn't been set, but the boutique hotel is already open. Visit their website in the meantime.

Fluffy Fluffy

A Japanese-based dessert and sweet treat concept is opening soon, according to owner Steven Lin. Fluffy Fluffy will serve Japanese soufflé pancakes, pastries, coffee, and tea – all of which will be inspired by Japanese cuisine.

SEMINOLE COUNTY

Huey Magoo's Chicken Tenders

A new location of Huey Magoo's is coming to Central Florida, according to a plan review filing with the DBPR. This location is owned by the co-founder of the company, Matt Armstrong, per the Division of Corporations. When it is planned to open is unknown as of now.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

Performance Pizza @ Stage 201

A larger-than-life pizza place is in the works for Plant City, according to owner Frank Trunzo. Performance Pizza @ Stage 201 will be a 5,000 square-foot full-service restaurant with a 350 square-foot stage for live performances.

Trunzo told FFBW that they will have seating capacity for 195 people, an open kitchen where you can see the chefs tossing dough, an artisan pizza oven, and silent black and white films projected onto the walls. Trunzo expects to open in July.

LAKE COUNTY

Dunkin' Donuts

Co-franchisee Paul Paquette confirmed with FFBW that he is planning to build a new unit of Dunkin' Donuts in Eustis. When this location will open is unknown. Paquette reported that they haven't begun construction yet.
