Bakery 1908 Expanding to Gainesville

Bakery 1908, the acclaimed Asian bakery from YH Restaurant Group, is preparing to expand to Gainesville with its unique blend of traditional and modern flavors at 3102 SW 34th St, Gainesville, FL 32608. Brought to you by the team behind restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide, Bakery 1908 offers a daily menu of fresh buns, cakes, dim sum, dumplings, and pastries.

The bakery, owned by John Zhao, part of the YH Restaurant Group, provides a space where guests can savor authentic Asian baked goods alongside exciting specialty dishes. Among its standout items is the 1908 Tofu, an award-winning appetizer featuring crispy fried tofu cubes tossed with scallions, roasted garlic, cilantro, red pepper flakes, and a signature salt and pepper mix.

Guests will also find an impressive 1908 noodle bowl menu, where they can build their noodle soup bowl, as well as favorites like shrimp tempura udon and pork and preserved egg congee. The drink menu features specialty 1908 drinks, alongside a selection of coffees, hot teas, and boba drinks. 

Bakery 1908’s journey began in Orlando in November 2023, driven by a simple dream: to share the joy of Asian bakery flavors with the community. In less than a year, the bakery’s offerings captured the hearts of thousands, selling over 400,000 buns in its first year alone.
