Bad Ass Coffee is set to open a new location at 6588 University Pkwy Unit 100, Sarasota, FL 34240 in the Lakewood Ranch community, franchisee Michael Miller told Business Debut in an interview.

Miller discovered the concept while visiting Hawaii and immediately thought it would be a good fit for the Lakewood Ranch area. He had recently sold an energy company and was looking for a new opportunity to work on.

Miller shared that the quality of the coffee, the Hawaiian theme and many other factors drew him to Bad Ass Coffee. One detail he loves is that they use frozen cubes of coffee in their iced coffees to avoid diluting the drinks. Bad Ass Coffee serves specialty coffees, smoothies, lemonades, teas and many other unique drinks. Additionally, they will offer snacks and grab and go foods. See the full menu.

This 2,500-square-foot Bad Ass Coffee location will feature 40 seats, including chairs and sofas, creating a comfortable atmosphere for patrons.

Expect catering and delivery services, with free delivery on orders over $20. Miller shared a special emphasis on providing excellent customer service and a welcoming attitude toward everyone. Guests can also count on the staff to provide portable chargers when they can't find a seat near an outlet.

To encourage community engagement, the shop will feature a space that can be reserved for free after hours. This room, equipped with an overhead projector and screen, will be available from 7 - 9 pm any day of the week for gatherings and events. Miller envisions books clubs, business meetings, and other social activities occurring in the space.

Operating hours will be 7 days a week from 6 am - 6 pm, with potential earlier closing times on Sundays. Miller has the rights to open two more stores in the area, signaling potential further expansion.
