Baby In The Kitchen Food Truck Opening Soon in Orlando

ORLANDO, FL – Baby In The Kitchen & Co. food truck is preparing to bring gourmet soul food to the streets of Orlando. Located at 1020 W Michigan St, Orlando, FL 32805, the new food truck is expected to open in early October, pending final state licensing approvals.

Owner Ezel Kendrick told Business Debut that the launch has been a long time coming. “I just felt like I wanted to go out on my own and do something that I would wake up every day doing,” Kendrick said.

Gourmet Soul Food on Wheels

Kendrick describes his menu as five-star soul food that takes comfort food and elevates it with high-class ingredients and creativity. Customers will find staples, including seafood rice, smothered and collard greens with onions and peppers, with everything taking on a modern gourmet twist. Also, some items are his oil-fried seafood egg rolls stuffed with lobster, shrimp, crab meat, cheeses, and vegetables.

Other egg roll flavors include hibachi, philly cheesesteak, and cheeseburger. “My seafood egg roll is one of my favorites,” Kendrick explained. “It’s packed with lobster, shrimp, and crab meat with cheese and peppers.”

From Passion to Profession

From an early age, Kendrick had a passion for cooking soul food. He had spent years working other jobs before deciding to pursue his passion full-time. Kendrick will run the business with his assistant, Tawana Lewis, making this his first official food venture.

Operating Hours

Baby In The Kitchen and Co. Food Truck will be open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Though there will be no seating on site, the truck is set up for fast service and takeout, ideal for locals in search of soul flavors on the go.
